The Concept

ViewRemote allows you to record your computer and view everything that happens on it from any Internet connection, anywhere in the world. It takes less than two minutes to install and setup.

ViewRemote allows you to see all chat conversations, emails, websites, and programs used – everything that happened on your computer. Anything that happens on the computer screen is recorded by ViewRemote. Even better, all keystrokes are logged so you can quickly see exactly what the user was typing. It’s incredibly easy to use; you install the software, log-in to ViewRemote.com, and you can watch your computer as if you were using a VCR.

How to Download and Install

The following instructions will help you install ViewRemote on your computer. The first thing you need to do is download ViewRemote, though, which you will be able to do as soon as you purchase. As soon as it is finished downloading (at most a few minutes, depending on your connection speed), you will be able to install.

Once you have downloaded ViewRemote, you will see the following:

If you have already purchased ViewRemote, choose Enter serial number during installation and click the Next button. Make sure you have your serial number handy, as you will need to enter it to continue.

If you are just using the trial version of ViewRemote, choose Install free trial version of ViewRemote and click the Next button.

Now it's time to configure some basic options:

If you don't want ViewRemote to appear in your computer's Start menu, then make sure that Hidden Mode is checked, as in the image above. Hidden Mode is ViewRemote's default behavior and is highly recommended for stealth recording.

Check the "Auto Registration" box if your computer is not currently connected to the internet. Your username and password will automatically be generated for you the next time the computer connects to the internet, and sent to you via email. You should only choose this feature if you are installing ViewRemote on a computer that is NOT currently connected to the internet.

After you click Next you will see several more screens appear. Just continue to click the Next button to complete the installation; in most cases you should just accept the default settings.

The final install screen you see will look like this:

Make sure that Run ViewRemote after installation is checked, and then click Next.

You're almost done. Now, it's time to setup an account. (Warning: Make sure you are now connected to the Internet...if you cannot connect to the internet now, then you need to use Auto Registration, which is explained earlier). The very first thing you'll see (after clicking the Next button in that final window) is the following image:

Enter a Login name and a Password. (You need to enter your password twice, in the Password box and also in the Repeat password box). You will use your login name and password to enter ViewRemote.com, and you will need your password to access ViewRemote on your computer if you need to make any changes.

Also, enter an e-mail that you want your password sent to in case you forget it. You must specify a valid e-mail account.

Click Register to continue. You may need to choose a new login name in case the one you entered has already been reserved by another ViewRemote user.

Finally, you will see the ViewRemote settings screen, below:

Just click OK to close it; chances are you won't need to make any changes here.

That's it! ViewRemote is now setup. Within a few minutes you can start watching your computer at ViewRemote.com. All you need is your login name and password, and wherever you are in the world, you can watch this computer.
